Additional Information

In 2003 I was presented with the James Payton Memorial Medal by the Royal Meteorological Society (Scottish Centre) for what was judged to be the outstanding weather photograph (world) of that year and I've provided images for various websites and publications of organisations including BBC News, The Geological Society, the University of Edinburgh, Scottish Natural Heritage, Scottish Nature Photography, Benromach Distillery and The Moray Council.

I'm also a contributor to the Open Source Photography Guides Project and the author of 'A Photographers Guide To Lossiemouth'.

I'm pleased to have had recent successes in the Landscape Photographer of The Year competition, The Scottish Nature Photography Awards, The Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival Photographic Competition, The UK Wildlife Photography Competition and The National Countryside Photography Competition.

I was runner up in the Scottish Landscape category of the Scottish Nature Photography Awards in 2010 with Catching The Tops. In the Landscape Photographer of The Year 2013 competition, in the Classic View section, Towards Slioch was Commended by the judges and won a place in the Awards book. In addition, it appeared in print and in a slide projection at the National Theatre exhibition in London which ran from 7th December 2013 - 8th January 2014.

Another image, Stac Pollaidh And Cùl Mòr, made it through to the final judging stage in the Landscape category of the '2013 Scottish Nature Photography Awards' and won a place in the Awards book published in 2014.

In 2015 two of my photographs Clashach Cove and Elgol Light  made it through to the final judging stage in the Sea And Coast category of the '2014 Scottish Nature Photography Awards' winning places in the Awards book published in 2015.

In 2016 Cast Adrift was placed first in the Scottish Botanical category of the '2015 Scottish Nature Photography Awards' and will be in the Awards book to be published in 2016.

In 2018 Winter, Lossie Estuary was placed first in the Sea And Coast category of the '2017 Scottish Nature Photography Awards' and will be in the Awards book to be published in 2018.
