One of my images had been short-listed in the Natural Abstract
Category of the Scottish Nature Photography Awards and two of my images had been short-listed in the Scottish Landscape Category of the Scottish Nature
Photography Awards. The judges – Neil McIntyre, Lorne Gill and Niall
Irvine should be revealing all around about the end March.

The exhibition in The Gallery at Elgin Library has now been extended and will run from 3rd – 24th
September.

An image of mine titled ‘Spring Light’ has made
it to the final judging stages of the National Countryside Photography
Competition. This image has been selected as the ‘county winner’ for Moray and
will now be in competition against the other regional winners in Scotland for the regional winner selection. Here' a

I’m pleased to be able to inform you that my next exhibition
will be in The Gallery at Elgin Library and will run from 3rd – 17th
September. Once again this will be shared with Alan Adam and will be titled
Wild In Moray.

I’m having an exhibition in April which I’m really looking forward to. It is actually a shared exhibition with Alan Adams a photography acquaintance of mine. Titled ‘Moray – Life and Landscape’ I will be hanging 18 landscapes / seascapes and Alan will concentrate on the natural life that is to be found in Moray and will also hang a similar amount. Located in The Gallery at Elgin Library in Moray the exhibition will run from Saturday 23 April – Friday 06 May 2011.

John Walters Editor of The Nature of Scotland, a magazine produced by Scottish Natural Heritage, contacted me about the possibility of using one of my images (Green and Orange) in the next issue. Here's hoping.

I got a pleasant surprise today when an email dropped in to inform me that two of my images had been short-listed in the Natural Abstract Category (short-list of 20) of the Scottish Nature Photography Awards. I’d hardly got over that great news when in dropped another email to inform me that another two of my images had been short-listed (again of 20) in the Scottish Landscape Category of the Scottish Nature Photography Awards. The judges – Neil McIntyre, Lorne Gill and Niall Irvine should be revealing all around 17th March.

I managed to get an article published in the on-line photography magazine Great British Landscapes which I’m really pleased about. It’s a fairly new addition to the photography scene in the UK and is well worth a look even if you are not British. The video sessions with Joe Cornish are amazing. Highly recommended.
